Seven Days / Six Nights

DAY 1 - ZURICH
Arrive at Zurich Airport.  From the airport, a shuttle service is provided to your hotel, which offers you the chance to rest from your long flight and get ready for your adventure in the Alps.

DAY 2 - ZURICH - ARBON -TEUFEN
After a hearty Swiss breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to Arbon, a small and peaceful town on the shores of Lake Constance to the Hotel Seegarten.   This afternoon you will have a chance to get on the ice (subject to availability) and work out. Dinner time brings us to the Restaurant Waldegg, in the surrounding hillside region of Teufen, a bucolic section of Appenzell, where a traditional Swiss dinner will be served.

DAY 3 - ARBON-APPENZELLERLAND

After breakfast, we will visit the city of St. Gallen, one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites in Switzerland. Here we will visit the cloister quarter with its cathedral and library.   St. Gallen dates from the 7 th century, before Switzerland was even united as a nation!  

We then continue with a visit to Appenzell, Switzerland's most traditional region, located in the eastern part of the country.  As you travel, you will enjoy a panorama of finely carved chalets and traditional villages.   In Appenzell, we will visit the Appenzell cheese factory for a tasting of their many specialty cheeses.  After the visit, we will head over to the cafe at Hotel Appenzell's where you can enjoy lunch or just a coffee and cake.   There are also handmade chocolates for sale in the shop, one of our personal favorites.  The remainder of the afternoon will be free to shop or just relax. We will have dinner at the Hotel Seegarten's excellent restaurant, where the Kulnik family always has a special offering for you to enjoy.

DAY 4 - DAVOS
After breakfast we travel from St. Gallen's train station to Davos.   Davos is known to many as the home of the annual world economic forum, but has world-class shopping and restaurants too.   Combined with excellent venues for skiing and snowboarding, and their world class skating rink, Davos is a winter wonderland of a playground. The train ride to Davos is one of the most scenic in the eastern region of Switzerland.  Once you check in to your hotel, you will have the opportunity to hit the nearby slopes.  Dinner will be served at the hotel.

DAY 5 - DAVOS
After breakfast, you will have free time to explore this amazing Alpine location on your own until we meet for the opening night of the Ice Gala Davos, an annual gathering of world famous skaters.   We will take a brief walk to the nearby Viallant Arena for the gala.   (Your show tickets are included.)  A meet and greet with the stars will be available after the show has ended.  Dinner will be served at the hotel.

DAY 6 - DAVOS - ZURICH
After breakfast in your hotel, we return to Zurich, where you can visit the city we call "downtown Switzerland".

DAY 7 - ZURICH
After breakfast, self transport to Zurich Airport for your flight back home.

From $2443.00 USD.   The price is subject to change, due to fluctuations in currency and the final airline price.   Airfare is based on Los Angeles International Airport departure.   Prices will vary based on city.  

50% down payment holds space with total due on December 24, 2008.

Air service will be with Swiss International, Lufthansa, or Air Canada subject to change due to airline availability.   Miles can be credited if you are member of Star Alliance.   Other airline groups may be used upon request.   Airfares are subject to change at anytime before final purchase.
